Sound familiar?

A volunteer forwards the same service reminder to hundreds of members, one broadcast list at a time.

Members say "I didn’t see the announcement" because it drowned in a noisy group chat.

Midweek meeting turnout is unpredictable because reminders go out late — or not at all.

When the secretary travels, communication simply stops.

What MsgOrb does for churches

Real workflows, running today — not a feature wish-list.

Sunday service reminders — on repeat

Set the reminder once, choose weekly, and every member gets a personal WhatsApp message before service. It runs every week until you stop it.

Midweek & special programs

Bible study, choir rehearsal, conventions — schedule each notice ahead of time and let MsgOrb deliver it to the right group at the right hour.

Know who’s coming

Ask members to reply YES to confirm attendance. Replies are collected for you, so ushering and seating are never a guess.

Members can reply — and you can answer

When a member replies, a 24-hour conversation window opens where you can chat freely, one on one, from your church’s WhatsApp number.

Departments and ministries, separated cleanly

Choir, ushers, youth, women’s fellowship — each group gets its own schedule and its own messages, managed by its own leaders.

Up and running in three steps

1

Create your congregation group

Add members once — name, WhatsApp number. Members can also join themselves with your church’s join link.

2

Pick a message template

Start from our library of church-ready templates — wording already written to Meta’s utility guidelines, so it submits cleanly for approval.

3

Set it to repeat

Weekly service, monthly vigil — choose the schedule and MsgOrb sends on time, every time.

Why churches are moving member communication to WhatsApp

Announcements from the pulpit reach the people who came. Emails reach the people who check them. But for most congregations, WhatsApp is where members actually are — it’s how they talk to family, coordinate with friends, and share news every single day. Church communication software that lives anywhere else is asking members to change their habits; MsgOrb meets them where they already are.

Unlike a noisy group chat, MsgOrb sends each member a personal message from your church’s own WhatsApp Business number. Nothing scrolls away, members don’t see each other’s numbers, and every reply comes back to one inbox your team can manage together. It is church messaging that feels personal at any size — from a house fellowship to a multi-campus ministry.

Attendance you can plan around

Knowing who is coming changes how a service runs. Ask members to reply YES to confirm attendance and MsgOrb collects every response for you, so ushering, seating, and communion preparation are based on real numbers instead of last Sunday’s guess.

And because a member’s reply opens a 24-hour conversation window, questions get answered one to one from the church’s own WhatsApp number — no volunteer handing out their personal contact, and every conversation visible to the team that shares the inbox.

From one congregation to an entire network

MsgOrb grows with your ministry. Start with one congregation group, then add choir, ushers, youth, and women’s fellowship — each with its own reminders and its own leaders as sub-admins. District pastors, church secretaries, and media teams can each manage their part while leadership keeps oversight.

New members join by scanning a QR code or tapping your church’s join link, so your list grows itself — with opt-in recorded automatically to keep you compliant with WhatsApp’s rules.

Common questions

MsgOrb runs on the official WhatsApp Business Platform — see the full FAQ for more.

Do members need to install anything?

No. Messages arrive in their normal WhatsApp, from your church’s WhatsApp Business number. There is nothing for members to install or learn.

Can members opt out?

Yes — members can reply STOP at any time, and MsgOrb respects opt-outs automatically. You stay compliant with WhatsApp’s rules.

Can more than one person manage it?

Yes. Invite sub-admins — your secretary, media team, or department heads — so communication never depends on one person.

What does it cost to send messages?

You connect your own WhatsApp Business account and pay Meta’s per-message rates directly. MsgOrb never marks up your messages.

Does it work for churches in the United States?

Partly, and it depends on Meta rather than on MsgOrb. Every MsgOrb reminder is written to Meta’s utility-template guidelines, but Meta makes the final category decision on each template, and since April 2025 it has paused marketing-category messages to US numbers. Reminders Meta classifies as utility deliver normally. Where Meta classifies one as marketing, your US members can still reach you — once a member replies, a 24-hour window opens and you can message them freely. Members outside the US are unaffected either way. If you are a US congregation, complete Meta Business Verification and start with a small group so we can confirm delivery before you rely on it.

What do we need to get started?

A WhatsApp Business account (free to create) and your member list. Connect the account, add or import your members, and your first automated reminder can go out the same day.
