Your first campaign

A worked example, from an empty group to a delivered announcement.

This example sends a service reminder to a group of twenty people.

1. Build the list

Open Groups and click Create Group. Name it something you will recognise later, for example Sunday Service. Open the group and click Add Member. Switch to CSV Upload and paste one contact per line:

Jane Doe,+15551234567
John Smith,+15559876543

Numbers must be in full international format with the country code. MsgOrb rejects the whole import if any line cannot be read, so nothing half-imports.

2. Get wording approved

Open Templates, click Built-In Library, and pick a starter close to what you want to say. Click Use Template, adjust the wording, and save. The template starts as Draft. Click Submit to Meta, then Sync Status a few minutes later. When the badge reads Approved it can be used.

3. Queue the send

In the sidebar open Automations → Organisation → Church (or the engine that matches your organisation). Then:

  1. 1Choose Sunday Service as the Target Audience.
  2. 2Choose your approved template and fill in each variable.
  3. 3Leave delivery on Send Immediately.
  4. 4Click Create Workflow.

4. Watch what happened

Open Campaigns to see the campaign and its per-recipient counts, or Delivery and Queue Health for the individual message states and any error text Meta returned.

The dispatcher runs every five minutes, and MsgOrb also kicks it immediately after you queue a send. A message that sits at Pending for more than about ten minutes is worth investigating — see Nothing is being delivered.
