Requirements

What you need from Meta and from your plan before the first message can go out.

From Meta

  • A Meta Business Portfolio (business.facebook.com).
  • A WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) with a phone number added to it. The number must not be active on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business phone apps.
  • A permanent System User access token with the whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_management permissions, or a completed Meta Embedded Signup.
  • At least one approved UTILITY template if you intend to message people who have not written to you in the last 24 hours.

From MsgOrb

  • An active paid plan. The connection form on WhatsApp Settings stays disabled while the subscription is not active.
  • At least one group with members in it.

What you do not need

  • You do not need to enter a Phone Number ID. MsgOrb reads it from your WhatsApp Business Account after you save the token and WABA ID.
  • You do not need to buy message credits from MsgOrb. Meta bills your WABA.
Meta caps a brand new business number at 250 unique recipients per 24 hours. That is Meta's limit, not your MsgOrb plan. Business Verification lifts it to 1,000, and the higher tiers follow automatically from volume and quality.
